| Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma believes that children are our most valuable resource. The early years of life, before age 6, provide a window of opportunity for healthy mental, physical, social, and emotional growth to nurture healthy, productive members of the community. |

| The Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma initiative is dedicated to raising public awareness about the critical importance of the early years in a child's development and seeks to ensure that all children are healthy, eager to learn, and ready to succeed by the time they enter school. |
| By building partnerships between the public and private sectors, we can work together in using available resources to help all children enter school ready to succeed. This innovative partnership, staffed by the Community Development Support Association, has brought together business, education, public agencies, social services, and the medical community to mobilize leaders for young children and families. |
