Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma Task Force
|
|
|
Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma began as a statewide initiative of the United Way and is staffed locally by the Community Development Support Association. Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma is dedicated to raising public awareness about the critical importance of early childhood development and school readiness. The Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma initiative is building partnerships between public and private sectors to work together to maximize the use of available resources and help all children enter school ready to succeed. This innovative partnership has brought together business, education, public agencies, social services and the medical community to mobilize leaders for young children and families. |

To accomplish this mission, the Smart Start Northwest Oklahoma Task Force assesses the needs of families and children, identifies and supports programs that result in increased school readiness, advocates for policies and resources that give young children and their families access to services, and evaluates outcomes. |
