How to read with your newborn to six-month old
spacer
  • Infants like stiff, cardboard books.
  • Infants also enjoy soft, but firm vinyl books.
  • Infants like simple, large pictures.
  • Infants like books about animals, cars, and other things that make sounds.
  • Place an open book at the head of the crib or on the floor when your infant is practicing tummy time.
  • Play with sounds for your infant. "moo" or "beep beep".
